Thinking Board

Question BoardWe have put up 2 whiteboards in the KS 2 corridors and we are going to invite pupils to write on them! They will be writing their thoughts about the question that I am going to write on them – why? to enhance the opportunities for our pupils to think critically, be logical, be reflective, be open minded, and allow them to collaborate, discuss and share their thoughts.

We seem to go through life and not have time to ponder those deep questions or think logically through issues. We are sometimes told this is the way life is and we accept it and move on. Well now we have a board to share our thoughts and ask each other questions about life, the universe and everything.

Time to be logical and reflective and think through a puzzle. We also want to keep it fun too.

So every week, I will be writing a question for KS 2 pupils on their ‘Thinking Boards’ and invite them to write their answers, thoughts and reflections on it in response. Then we will keep a record of these comments and start a new topic the following week.

The questions could be philosophical, moral, reflective or puzzle based.

Have you any ideas for the question of the week? Please leave a reply if you do.

What a fabulous idea! I’d be interested to hear about what the children think about Fox hunting and if they think there is life on other planets.
