Forest School at Lever House

We are a Forest School – but what does that mean?

Well it means that Mrs Macleod is an official Forest School practitioner. She had to complete days of training and assessment. She has to produce a book full of Risk Assessments. She is Forest School First Aid trained and she is is a wonderful teacher.

We think children should learn about the outdoors, about cooperation, about investigating, about den building and the world around them. We think children should look up to the skies as well as down into books. We think children should read about bugs and have them crawl around in their hand. They should see, hear, touch and experience the world first hand and learn to survive and be safe in the world in which they live.

We have Forest School 3 days a week in school and everyone gets outside!

We are holding a Forest School for Parents / Carers – come along and join in the fun 🙂 Ask at the Office for more information.
