What school is about?

I have just had to fill in a form where I had to explain what I want our school to look like and achieve – so I wrote this:

A place where high level seamless integrated learning takes place, where students and teachers learn in a positive atmosphere. Where collaboration takes place between those interested people from around the world – those to inspire and those to be inspired. Where old and new technologies are used for their best advantage. Where enquiring minds are challenged, where learners are inspired and where the wonder of learning and the wider world is explored.

What do you think?

  1. An excellent wonderful summary of how a school which inspires children fulfills it’s vision!

School is about making friends and learning a new thing every day. At school you should get involved with the lesson you are in and gain responsibility. You will learn the things you are good at and the things you are weak at and need to work on. You will meet friends you will keep forever. You will fail at some things which gains you success because you will improve and eventually succeed.

I think a good school is a kind friendly place where nobody is shy of saying anything without being laughed at. I also think people should be kind to people and nobody should be physically hurt or upset.

I think you are right school should be what you say it is. It should also be fun.

Our school is fun, good learning and lots of fun stuff! It’s fun to learn about new stuff. All the kids and teachers use the three C’s and that’s good. We learn something new everyday even teachers find out new stuff too so I think that school is fun! :)

  7. We think a good school has to be welcoming, colourful, and a good environment. We also think the staff have to be friendly and should not show favouritism to any of the pupils.

I think a school should be a challenging place that will inspire children to learn and be creative. We shouldn’t just learn about the usual stuff like Science, Maths and English we should have lessons like Art, Dance and Drama.

I am proud to be a pupil at Lever House. School is about having fun and that is definitley what I do every day! :)

I think school is important because it will get us really far in life and give us a better chance in life, so that’s why school is important.

  11. Josh S says:

I think that a good teacher is one that is strict (but not too strict), they should never show favouritism, they should be well-educated and finally organised. A good pupil is one who is a good listener, good learner and is polite; a good pupil is also kind and shows the three C’s- care, consideration and self- controlled.
The perfect school should have a positive attitude with lots of happy children enjoying themselves; no child should be left out in games. I think our school has achieved this!

I’m glad I’m at Lever House because it’s a wonderful school and I have lots of friends to play with. School is good at learning especially the subjects we learn in class.

  13. Callum says:

A school is exiting and enjoyable, all of the children should try their best and collaborate with each other. All of the teachers shouldn’t be kind to only one child; they should be strict but fair. All the school should be caring and helpful to every one else. Our school should use the 3c’s (care, consideration and self control). School should be a wonderful place where you can learn new things and be able to play and have an exciting time.

We think that school is about fun activities and about learning in a fun way; learning in a fun way will make pupils enjoy school more and they will look forward to going to school. Also at our school we have the privilege of having iTouches that we are allowed to use for education and for fun.

  15. A good school should be about learning fun and creativity; it should be a joyful journey that you should enjoy every day. School should include both indoor and outdoor activities that involve fun, learning, and exciting opportunities. It is also a place for people to make friends – that will care and help them all the way through school. Each day you learn a new thing that will help you in your future career and your life ahead. School should be a place that you can wake up to and feel good about in the morning. It should be a place that you can use technology to help with your everyday learning.

  16. Natasha says:

School is about learning, listening and working hard, but school is not just about that, is also about having fun and making lost of new friends.
